How to get the most out of your wax products
Candles
-
Before lighting, always check for debris in the jar and trim the wick to ¼ inch before lighting each time. We also recommend removing the purple bow and tag as this can be a fire hazard.
-
Candles remember!, wax has a memory so make sure the first time you light your candle, the wax melts all the way to the side of the glass, if not it will tunnel, not using all of the wax in the jar and possibly affecting future burn.
-
Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time as this can increase the flame size due to the longer wick, possibly release soot into the air and be a fire hazard.
-
Keep your candle away from drafts, even placing next to a closed window can make a difference.
Clamshells & Snap bars
- Snap off one star or one section of a snap bar and place in your warmer.
- Wax warmers should only ever be used with a 4 hour tea light, and should be allowed to cool when the candle goes out. Continuing to use the warmer without cooling will cause it to reach too higher temperature and risk cracking.
- The wax will not evaporate, when all of the fragrance oil has been released and the wax no longer smells, we suggest melting the wax and soaking it up with some kitchen towel. Do not pour it down the sink as it will solidify immediately.
- The size of your room makes a difference to the scent strength, if you have a large room you can use 2 stars if your warmer can accommodate.
- Instructions on electric warmers can vary so please read them for your specific warmer.
Sample pods
- Tip your pod out and break it into 4 pieces, don’t use the whole pod in your warmer.
